How to add someone else’s Facebook event to your page.

Social Media

Are you involved in an event for a non-profit?

Are you involved and passionate about events that happen in your community? Are you interested in cross-promoting these events, so your friends and followers know all about what is coming up?  They get connected. Buy tickets. Volunteer. Spread the word. Going beyond inviting friends or sharing in a feed? Want the event to be set on your page the same way one of your events can be posted.

Three Easy Steps

  1. Find the event page on Facebook for the event you want to promote and add to your business page.
  2. Look on the right side under the image for the ….
  3. Click add to your Facebook Page (or another page where you are an administrator).
That’s it! The event will now appear on your page timeline the same as and event you created.

Sharing the “Hartland Polo Classic”

There is a new event that I am sharing on my Nancy J Web Design Facebook Page. It is a new event being put on by the Hartland Chamber of Commerce. I am excited about this event as a member of the community and also as a member of the chamber and Board of Directors. And I want to engage people in checking this out this event. Below is an excerpt from the Hartland Polo Class Facebook Event Page.   Join us for the 1st Annual Hartland Polo Classic! Live Polo event in Hartland, Michigan! Benefiting Hartland Area Chamber of Commerce’s Scholarship fund and community give backs. Get out your fancy hats and grab your friends for the event of the SUMMER. The afternoon will be filled with non-stop entertainment and activities in the summer sunshine. Featuring Beer & Wine, Hat Parade and Contest, VIP Seating, Food, Halftime Divot Stomp, Outdoor Photo Booth and the thundering excitement of live polo! You won’t want to miss this event. It’s a one-of-a-kind experience you will never forget. Polo attire: Garden Party theme kindly requesting gentlemen to wear a summer suit and ladies to wear their most daring hats. Tickets: $75 per person ($80 at the door) *Must be 21 to enter Includes: Strolling Catered Dinner, 2 Drink Tickets and Entrance to Polo Match. VIP Tables (8) and VIP Tents available. Few sponsorships left. For more information or to purchase tickets visit: www.hartlandchamber.org or call 810.632.9130
What events are you invested in succeeding?   Sharing them on your Facebook Business Page tells people more about you and your business. Your interests, your values, and your participation in the community. You don’t want to overdo with many events. But if there is something that stands out, consider cross-promoting to your friends and followers.
