Enchanting Your Customers With Your Business and Personal Story

Uncategorized

“People don’t want more information. They are up to their eyeballs in information. They want faith – faith in you, your goals, your success, in the story you tell.”

~Annette Simmons, author of  “Whoever Tells the Best Story Wins”

Do you love what you do?

Do you see YOUR business differently than others see it?  More exciting!  Think the answer to that question may determine your happiness.  My hope is that you are investing your time in something that has meaning to YOU.

  • I am a “social introvert” (not sure if that is an actual label but it feels fitting)!   I genuinely like people. But I need a fair amount of time on my own working individually. As a person creating websites, the role allows me a nice balance between working in a quiet office and being actively involved in chambers, my rotary club, and in the community.
  • I also am a learner.  I get a good amount of satisfaction through the process. An enjoyment of continual learning is needed in my industry simply to do the work.  I have the time to invest and the perseverance to continue.
  • Finally, I like to promote and encourage others. An aspect of motherhood I love! In this position, I get the honor of telling personal and business stories. Working with people who are passionate. It is a good fit.

What about your story that you bring into your business or organization?

Opening up and sharing what motivates you also connects you to important people. Take some time to think about what comes naturally.

Take some personality tests that help you identify your strengths.  I didn’t realized I was a “learner” until I took StrengthFinders 2.0 by Tim Rath. In the end, it is up to you to identify your strengths and use them to grow your business.
